Responding to the weak 2 bid you have three options :-
- Pass – 0 – 14 High Card Points (HCP), no support of partner’s suit
- Bid to the level of the fit – 0-14 HCP, 3 or more cards in support, add the number of cards to partner’s 6 and bid to the combined level. For example, if you have 4 cards of partner’s suit and 7 points, 4+6=10tricks , so bid at the 4 level
- 2NT -Asking for further information – you have 15+ points and game may be on. Bid 2NT
- Responses to 2NT “ask” are :-
- Just rebid your suit at the 3 level – showing partner “I’m weak, no feature” – 5-7HCP
- Bid the suit of a feature , void , Ace , Kx ,Qxx , yoiu must have 8-10 HCP
- Bid 3NT if you have A,K,Q of your suit and 8-10HCP

To remember this just think weak weak , strong strong , the higher ranking showing 2 honours
